Hummingbird Park in Aliso Viejo

Hummingbird Park is a hidden gem in Aliso Viejo offering children a beautiful place to play without the big crowds found at many of the other local parks. It is also a great birthday party location with its large grassy area that is surrounded by many large trees and shrubs. Did I mention there is an awesome bike path right across the street? Such a win-win for families.

While, on our way home from an event, I saw that my kids were dancing in their seats with energy, so I made a stop at Hummingbird Park for them to release some of their energy. I parked the car on the street, and they took off to run, jump, climb and play for hours. This park also seems to draw some of the nicest mommies around, and I always find a nice mom to sit and talk with while our kids are playing.

The park has one giant play structure and a separate swing set. There are multiple picnic benches, and a porta-potty (ewww!) The play structure is surrounded with sand – so make sure and bring a bag full of sand toys along. While there is not a shade covering the play structure, there is always plenty of shade from the surrounding trees.

The park is on the corner of a busy street. It is well protected by large trees and bushes, but I still recommend parents keeping a close eye on toddlers who tend to wander off.

Don’t forget your kids bikes and spend time bike riding along the picturesque bike path across the street from the park. If you’re planning a birthday party, then I recommend reserving the tables through the city of Aliso Viejo.

Hummingbird Park is located at the corner of Aliso Creek Road and El Toro Road in Aliso Viejo. Have fun!
