Although the summer months have passed, keeping kids hydrated is still a priority. Kids are constantly active and dehydration can be life-threatening to young children, regardless of the season. Every year more than 200,000 children in the US are admitted to hospitals for dehydration.

How do you know if your kids are dehydrated? Signs of dehydration include:

  • Dry mouth, dry skin and dry eyes (no tears)
  • Thirst
  • Tiredness, sluggishness
  • Fewer wet diapers; decreased urine output
  • light-headedness, headache
  • Fever
  • Confusion

I have witnessed my kids begin to show signs of dehydration, and it has been some of the scariest moments of my life. Recently, my daughter started vomiting after a volleyball game due to dehydration. Getting her to keep water down was a challenge because she was already at a critical point of dehydration. We were only able to slowly rehydrate her without have to go to the hospital with the use of DripDrop.

I always keep one of the DripDrop powder packets in my purse during the kids sporting events just in case they begin to show signs of dehydration. DripDrop has 2-3 times the electrolytes of sports drinks and contains no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.

DripDrop is available at Walgreens and CVS pharmacy. I won’t ever leave home without having it in my purse to use as a tool for keeping my kids hydrated so their bodies and brains can perform their best. I guarantee that you’ll love this product just as much as I do, and how it can help keep your kids hydrated, healthy and happy.
