Indian Cooking Classes at Adya in Anaheim

Adya is one of the best places to bring your family to get Indian food. Both locations in Irvine and Anaheim offer a relaxed family-friendly dining ambiance. Plus, they have delicious food that even the pickiest little eaters will love.

Chef Shachi at Adya

During my recent visit to Adya, I attended a cooking class with Chef Shachi Mehra using fresh Melissa’s Produce. I have always been intimidated by the thought of making Indian food at home. During the interactive cooking class, Chef Shachi showed me how simple and easy cooking Indian food at home for my family can be.

We learned how to make four simple family-friendly recipes using fresh Melissa’s Produce. The two favorite recipes that I learned how to make was the tangerine and radish salad with fresh mint and fennel. The salad was fresh, and when made with Melissa’s pixie tangerines – it was unforgettable.

The second recipe that I enjoyed learning how to make was the shrimp curry cooked in young coconuts. I have always wanted to learn how to make a curry, and I now feel comfortable giving it a try.
