Kid-Friendly New Year’s Eve Events in Orange County
Ready for 2014? For those who have little kids, and can’t attend an all-night party in Orange County, there are a wide variety of kid-friendly New Year’s Eve events happening in Orange County this year. From a balloon drop at The Discovery Science Center to dancing Snoopy and the Gang, there is an event that is perfect for your family to ring in the New Year together this year!
The Discovery Science Center

Celebrate “Noon Year’s Eve” at the Discovery Science Center. The event will happen on December 30th and 31st from noon to 2pm. Dress like a superhero to join their dance party, take photos in front of their green screen, make sound effects at the Foley stage, and watch the balloon drop at noon and 2pm. The center will provide complimentary hats and horns to take home, and all activities are included in the price of museum admission.

Knott’s Berry Farm is hosting an all-day family friendly New Year’s Eve celebration. There will be music, magic and fun happening throughout the day. All of the activities are included with the price of park admission. Knott’s Berry Farm will be open on December 31st from 10am to 1am.
Pretend City

Children are invited to celebrate the New Year’s at Pretend City on December 31st from 10am to 12pm. There will be a book reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” New Year’s Resolution art project, and music and movement countdown to 2014. The activities are included with admission to Pretend City. All of the activities are geared toward children ages 0-5 years.

Celebrate the New Year by taking a splash into the Pacific Ocean. Pancake breakfast will be available for $5 to benefit the Huntington Beach Lions Club. Registration begins at 8am at Zack’s, and the fun begins at 10am. The event has a suggested donation of $10 to support the International Surfing Museum.
