Learn About Bugs and Butterflies at Riley Wilderness Park

The County of Orange and OC Parks invite you to spend a day outdoors and learn all about the critters of the earth at Riley Wilderness Park’s free, family-friendly Bugs and Butterflies event on Sunday June 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Orange County Event

Riley Wilderness Park’s incredible butterfly garden will be open for up-close tours with nature’s daintiest fliers, while insect experts give out tips and tricks on how to attract these and other plant-friendly critters to your garden at educational stations and informative exhibits. A live butterfly release will be held at 3 p.m. There will be a rock-climbing wall, OC Parks giveaways, OC Bird of Prey raptors for outside and close-up viewing, and games.

With face painting booths, giveaways, native plant sales, insect inspired storytelling, park tours, arts and crafts, and a food truck serving delicious culinary creations, this free event is a great way to explore the park’s outdoor “classroom” atmosphere and learn all about bugs and butterflies!
