Linda Lane Park in San Clemente: Play with an Ocean View
Linda Lane Park in San Clemente is a cute little park with an amazing view. If gazing at the ocean while the kids happily sway on swings and shoot down slides makes your heart happy, this is the park for you.
Linda Lane Park is located right up the street from Linda Lane beach, a great kid-friendly OC beach, and has a good view of the coast starting from there. Standing at the bottom of the parking lot just down from the park provides a sweeping view of the San Clemente pier to the South and Dana Point to the North. This is also an access point to the San Clemente Beach trail.
Parking is shared by beach and park patrons and payed for at metered pay stations, which accept cash or credit card. Parking can sometimes be a challenge in busier summer months and on weekends, but most of the year isn’t a problem.
Linda Lane park houses two play structures – one for big kids and one for smaller tikes – separated by a set of swings.
Baby bucket swings, regular swings, and this goliath of a swing are plenty to keep all ages entertained.
Part of the hardscape of the park is sand and the other soft rubber surface, so bring your sand toys, which aren’t a bad idea to have on hand anyways this close to the beach!
Aside from the play area, there is a large grassy area toward the back of the park, which houses a few picnic tables scattered between trees.
The park does NOT have restrooms, so plan accordingly. Also, due to it’s proximity to the coast, even if warm inland, the park can sometimes be chilly due to the ocean breeze.
