Magic Kingdom Theme Park Moms’ Day Out at Walt Disney World Resort

We visited as a guest of Disney

Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney Wold Resort isn’t just for kids, but moms too. As moms, we work hard all year long, and when I was invited to spend a couple of days away from the family at the Walt Disney World Resort to learn about the film “Zootopia,” how could I refuse? On the last day of the press trip, we were given some free time to explore the Magic Kingdom Theme Park and enjoy a much need break from carpool, diapers, and dishes.

Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World

I had an epic day with two of my favorite colleagues at the Magic Kingdom Theme Park. We started our day by flying high over the theme park on the Dumbo attraction. As I soared high in the air and had the wind on my face, I took a moment to reflect on all the things I love about being a parent. Having a few moments of peaceful silence in the most magical place on Earth is just what I needed to come home to my family rested, relaxed, recharged, and ready to go back to making every moment count with my three young children.

Haunted Mansion

Next, was my favorite ride in the theme park, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction. I have never been a fan of fast rides, and this rollercoaster was the perfect speed for me. It was a thrilling ride that immersed me into the world of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Then we went on it’s a small world, Peter Pan Flight, and the Haunted Mansion. I was expected the ride to be the same as they are at the Disneyland Resort, but while they are similar, they have unique things about them, that made it feel like I was experiencing the attractions for the first time.

Rapunzel's Tower

Once we were done experiencing the attractions we embraced the beauty of the theme park while walking around the theme park. The theme park is rich with beautiful flowers, waterfalls, and buildings. My senses were tantalized with the smell of churros in the air, the sounds of children’s laughter, and the majestic sight of Cinderella’s magical castle.

Finally, we ended our day with an epicurean adventure at the all-new Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen. We savored the bold flavors of the food inspired by the cuisine of Asia, South America, and Africa. My favorite dishes were the S.E.A. Shu Mai and the house-made arepas. The servers were in character throughout our meal, and the entire restaurant was decorated to make guests feel like they are dining at a restaurant in the middle of the Amazon.

I left the Magic Kingdom Theme Park with unforgettable memories, and I look forward to sharing my favorite things about the theme park with my children in the near future. If you haven’t experienced mom’s day out at Walt Disney World, then I encourage you to plan a day with your girlfriends. You’ll feel the Disney Magic in a whole new way. Don’t forget to bring your family to see the movie “Zootopia” that is in theaters now!
