The MARVELous Captain Marvel

I saw a preview of Captain Marvel as a guest of Disney

The big day is finally here, where the world will get to see the fantastic family film, Captain Marvel. I love a movie that has a strong female in a lead role, but what I liked the most about the film was the message of love and friendship.

Captain Marvel

The movie is set in the ’90s and features some of the best music from that era. Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) leaves everything behind on Earth and joins a galactic military force called Starforce. In a series of events, she finds herself back on Earth and begins to have flashbacks about a previous life. She connects with Nick Fury, and her epic adventure of rediscovering her life on Earth begins to unfold.

Friends in Captain Marvel

One of my favorite parts of the film is the friendship that Captain Marvel has with Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch). Rambeau is a strong and powerful single mother in the movie who was Danvers best friend when she was on Earth. Rambeau, along with her daughter reconnects with Danvers to help her remember the past. In most films, the love story is about a relationship, but in this film, the love story is about friendship.

The film has a lot of action and a lot of heart. I was immersed in the world in which Captain Marvel lived the minute that the movie started. I loved the film so much that I didn’t want it to end.

Goose the Cat in Captain Marvel

Another star in the film is Goose the Cat. Goose is hilarious in the movie and is quickly going to be the most famous cat in America once the world sees this film. Be prepared to fall in love with Goose when watching the movie, and you’re kids are going to be asking for all the Goose merchandise after seeing the film.

There is a decent amount of action in this film, but I would recommend it for children of all ages. There is not as much violence like in other Marvel films, and I feel that even younger children can enjoy this film without parents having to worry.

Scene from Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is going to win over the hearts of families everywhere today. ‘Go higher, further, faster’ into theaters starting today to see Captain Marvel. The film is rated PG-13. If you think you might have concerns about whether or not your child is old enough to see the movie, I always recommend seeing it first and then deciding whether or not you feel comfortable having them see the film.
