Merry Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood

We visited as a guest of Universal

Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood

If you haven’t found yourself singing a holiday carol, go to Universal Studios Hollywood during Grinchmas! Last weekend, my husband and I took our two young sons for our very first time.

Grinchmas let us embrace the holiday spirit in full swing; it was a great, fun-filled Sunday. As we entered the park, our ears were welcomed by sweet carols and the sound of laughter.

My 4-year old son, Piercen, and I caught ourselves singing along to Jingle Bells. Instant happiness! My 2-year old son, Harlen, was smiling ear to ear, pointing at the sparkling lights, ornaments and some characters he recognized, Spongebob Squarepants and Curious George were the first of many.

Every nook and cranny were decorated for the holidays with a ton of detail. I loved it and appreciated every snowy rooftop, and strung garland. I especially adored every window sill that had little light up miniature towns. Even the cotton candy bags were printed with various holiday characters on them.

We started our adventure by taking the kids to see the 60-foot tree in Whoville. There were wrapped presents bigger than my kids, and they wanted to open each one. Whoville was full of Who’s, and a couple of them were on stilts! It was such a lively place to visit. The Who’s at Universal Studios Hollywood looked just like they do in the Grinch movie. All of us were in awe. We snapped a picture with the Mayor, saw Cindy Lou Who, the Grinch, and Max.

My husband and I were jazzed to see the activities that were available to entertain our boys. They could decorate ornaments, listen to the live carols, enjoy some ‘Who’ treats, take pictures with various fun backdrops, listen to Cindy Lou Who during story time and even send the Grinch a postcard describing your good deeds of the year, at the Who-Ville Post Office. In fact, with every postcard that’s sent, a book is gifted to a child in need. What a wonderful opportunity to give during the holidays.

I was skeptical bringing my 2-year old to Universal Studios Hollywood but both my sons find the Grinch hilarious and entertaining. I was happy to find that Whoville was for all ages.

It was a fun, festive experience watching Whoville come to life this year. The boys had such a great time, and they wanted to watch the movie all over again. We would highly recommend going on an adventure to Whoville during Grinchmas!

I can definitely see us making this trip a tradition. Grinchmas will continue at Universal Studios Hollywood until January 1st. Check it out if you haven’t already! Happiest holidays from the Little’s.

Honestly, you won’t catch me without a smile on my face. I am an easy-going wife and super patient stay at home mom, always looking to excite my busy boys with adventurous fun! We love to be outdoors running wild and getting dirty. My boys are pretty rugged, [so as a tom-boy myself], we are the best of friends. We especially love bike riding together, splashing around at the beach and hanging out with those who want to join in on the fun. After starting a family with my childhood sweetheart, Jarred, and becoming a mother to our sons, now 3.5 years old and 18 months old, I was given a purpose in life! I thrive to balance every day, as a sincerely loving wife, mom, sister, aunt and daughter. Family is everything to me.
