Messy Minions Candy Bark Recipe

This post is in partnership with Bounty.

Minions..Minions..Minions! My kids and I love everything about the minions. The first time that we were introduced to them in the first Despicable Me, we fell in love with them. My kids have minion clothes, hats, and everything minion. When I learned that Bounty was introducing Despicable Me 3 prints on their paper towels and napkins, I immediately knew that I needed to get some for my kitchen.

Having three busy kids in my household, we’re always making messes or spilling things in my kitchen. That is why I need a paper towel that is strong enough to clean-up the biggest messes while using the smallest amount of paper towels to tackle the mess. The one brand that I have found to be the most absorbent is Bounty, and I was thrilled to find out that my favorite brand was the one that is featuring Minions!

I stocked up my pantry with rolls of Bounty’s Despicable Me 3 print paper towels and then felt inspired to make the kid’s a sweet Minion-themed treat to enjoy this afternoon. With it being a hot summer, I wanted to make something that I wouldn’t have to bake (and heat up the house), so I made the kids Minion candy bark.

The recipe is simple to make, and my kids devoured every bite. They enjoyed it so much that they invited their friend across the street to have a sweet treat.

Minions Candy Bark Recipe

Two bags of 12oz white chocolate morsels
Yellow food coloring
Blue Sprinkles
Small blue chocolate candies
White candy eyes
Baking sheet

1. Melt the chocolate in your microwave (stirring often).

2. Once the chocolate has melted, add the food coloring to make it yellow.
3. On a foil lined baking sheet, pour the yellow colored chocolate onto the foil, spreading it out.

4. Decorate the chocolate with sprinkles, candy, and eyes.

5. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
6. Break the bark apart into small pieces.
7. Serve to your kids with a Minion-themed Bounty paper towel.

While my kids were enjoying their Minion-themed candy bark, we were all talking about how excited we were to see Despicable Me 3 that is now out in theaters (rated PG). We can’t wait to find out what hilarious adventure the Minions go on with Gru and his brother Dru.

Take your kids to see Despicable Me 3 in theaters, and enjoy making this sweet treat for them to enjoy after seeing the movie. New Bounty paper towels with Despicable Me 3 prints are available in stores now – hurry and stock up your cupboard – they aren’t going to stay on the store shelves for long!
