Mickey Mouse Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Disney Side party was sponsored by Disney
Mickey Mouse Strawberries 2

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! When planning our upcoming Disney Side party, I wanted to try and make a healthy “Mickey Mouse” themed snack for the kids. While walking through the produce department of our grocery store, I thought that blueberries and strawberries would somehow be able to come together to make a Mickey Mouse themed snack…I had no idea that they would end up being so cute.

When we got home and started make the treat, everything came together…but I felt like it was missing something. So, I went onto Facebook, to seek some advice from my friends, and with a little brainstorming we were all able to figure out exactly what was missing to perfect the treat.

Mickey Mouse Strawberries 1

Supplies needed:
You’ll want to get a package of strawberries that are mostly round.
Toothpicks
Blueberries
Red chocolate morsels (can be found at Michael’s or your local craft/baking store)
Yellow icing

Mickey Mouse Strawberries 3

How do you make them?
1. First cut off the tops of the strawberries
2. Take a toothpick, and break it in half
3. Using 1/2 of the toothpick, attach the blueberry to the side of the strawberry. Repeat on the other side.
4. Melt the chocolate
5. Dip 1/2 of the strawberry into the chocolate and let dry on wax paper
6. Once the chocolate has hardened add two yellow dots in the center of the red chocolate
7. Enjoy!

Have fun serving these sweet and “semi” healthy treats at your next Mickey Mouse themed Disney party.
