Mile Square Park Annual Monarch Butterfly Day
Families can get up close and personal with the Monarch butterfly at Mile Square Park on Saturday, February 2nd from 10am to 2pm. These beautiful creatures will fly around a netted butterfly enclosure in the park’s Camp Sycamore.
There will be butterfly experts on-site to provide educational information and answer questions about the butterflies.
Additional event activities include children’s crafts, face painting, balloon art, puppet shows and guided nature walks through Mile Square Regional Park’s Natural Area. Each child in attendance will receive native seeds as a take away to continue to help build safe habitats for Monarch Butterflies and other creatures.
