Moms Orange County Baby Olympics and Fair

Families are invited to come to the 2nd Annual Baby Olympics & Fair this Saturday, September 13th from 11am-3pm at the Irvine Spectrum Center. The free event will include Olympic-themed activities, contests, prizes, and entertainment, and will also build awareness for the programs and services offered by MOMS Orange County, a nonprofit organization serving low-income pregnant women for more than 20 years.

Children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, including a bean bag shot put competition, 3.6 meter diaper dash, 6.6 waddle dash, hula hoop contest, dance contest, costume contest, daddy diaper changing contest, bubbles, and more.

Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County, one of the largest nonprofit oral health providers for children, will provide free dental screenings to kids on its mobile dental clinic Smile Mobile 2 during the event (which will be parked by the carousel), as well as offer activities and dental health education.

CHOC Children’s will have its transport ambulance on site, and a clinical dietician at the CHOC booth to discuss the hospital’s new breast milk donation service. The recently launched service allows mothers to donate, via an easy process, milk for critically ill, premature babies in CHOC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

WHEN: Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 11am to 3pm

WHERE: Irvine Spectrum – Giant Wheel Court, 71 Fortune Drive, Irvine, Ca 92618.
