OC Rescue Mission in Dire Need of Food Donations

The Thanksgiving holiday is approaching quickly and Orange County Rescue Mission is in dire need of critical food items to serve homeless individuals and families in need throughout Orange County.

OC Rescue Mission Thanksgiving Donations

The food items will aid in providing Thanksgiving dinner for hundreds of homeless men, women and children, as well food boxes for families in need throughout the region. Orange County Rescue Mission, which has received the highest 4-star rating by Charity Navigator for the last three years in a row, has made this annual commitment to the local community for the last 55 years, according to the nonprofit’s President Jim Palmer.

In fact, many of the residents at the Orange County Rescue Mission have never had the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

If in a position to donate, the Orange County Rescue Mission is requesting the following items:

Boxed or canned stuffing
Canned cranberries
White granulated sugar
Instant noodle soup
Flour
Chicken stock
Cream of Chicken soup
Cream of Mushroom soup
Pasta
Canned vegetables
Canned tuna or meat
Snack bars
Canned fruit
Dry beans
Rice
Cereal

Anyone wishing to donate any of the items listed above may drop off donations at Orange County Rescue Mission’s Village of Hope, located at 1 Hope Drive in Tustin, California. Donations can also be ordered online and delivered to Village of Hope.

The donation warehouse is open between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. For more information, please contact Nancy Palmer at [email protected] or visit www.rescuemission.org/urgent-thanksgiving-food-needs/.
