OC Rescue Mission Seeks Community’s Help as the New School Year

OC Rescue Mission has announced an urgent need for funding to provide long term distance learning for its 61 homeless children living at its transitional facility, Village of Hope, for the 2020-2021 school year, which begins in less than two weeks.

OC Rescue Mission Distance Learning

This urgent need follows Governor Newsom’s recent order to convert all Orange County schools to distance learning models for the upcoming school year, according to Jim Palmer, President of Orange County Rescue Mission.

The Orange County Rescue Mission plans to convert existing office space into classroom environments, as well as bring on one full-time, credentialed teacher and two teaching assistants to support the high number of children living at the Rescue Mission.
