Valentine’s Day is upon us and so are many fun family events happening in Orange County for your family to enjoy. Whether at a story time, or riding trains, you’ll find yourself getting struck with cupids arrow while spending quality time with your kids at one of these fun Orange County events.

Monday, February 10th

Tuesday, February 11th

Children are invited to enjoy a special story time at your nearest Pottery Barn store at 11am. Children can get a free passport to collect stamps for every story time visit. After collecting five stamps, children will receive a special surprise. The event is free to the public.

Scooter’s Jungle Open Play

Children under the age of 6 are invited to come play at Scooters Jungle from 10:30-12pm. Admission is $7 per child, and includes one adult. No outside food is allowed inside, and all children must wear socks.

The breastfeeding support group at Granola Babies is an inviting, friendly and welcoming group for mothers and mothers-to-be. Children are welcomed and there’s a comfortable sofa for nursing. Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Pretend City from 10am to 4pm on February 14th. Children will be read “The Kissing Hand,” create a love poem and do a holiday craft. All of the activities are included with the price of admission.

Valentine’s Day Parents’ Night Out

Parents can enjoy a special night out on Valentine’s Day, while the kids are having a blast at the Creative Learning Preschool. The event will include dinner for the kids, games, movies, and more. Children ages 1-13 are welcome from 6pm to 11pm. The cost is $20 per child, and $10 for each additional sibling.

Valentine’s Day storytelling morning at the Bower’s Museum from 10:30am to noon. Children ages 2-6 years old are encouraged to come with an adult to this fun event. The event includes playtime in Kidseum, and camera are encouraged to bring. The event is $10 per child (members), and $12 per child for non-members.

If your kids are in the CapoUSD or SaddlebackUSD we know that all your kids are out of school. For your little fashionista the Fashion Camp is offering 1/2 day and full day camps. The 1/2 day camp is $49, and children will make a chain strap purse, and the full day camp is $99 where kids will make a PJ Pant. Reservations are recommended, and camps are being offered at both locations.

Bring your family for the 21st Annual Highland Games & Festival at the Queen Mary from 9am to 6pm. There will be highland athletics, piping competition, whiskey and beer tasting, dancing, entertainment, and more. Admission is $22 at the door, $12 for children (4-11) and children under the age of 4 are complimentary.

The Harlem Globetrotters will be playing at the Honda Center at 1pm and 7pm. Tickets are currently available online or at the box office.

Have children who love their dog? Have them bring their best friend to the Irvine Regional Park on February 15th for the Paws for Fur walk on February 15th. There will be a Hearty Hound 5K, Dawdling Doodle 1 Mile Walk, and FURever Yours Expo. A portion of the funds will benefit Susan G. Komen Orange County.

Kids Gardening Workshop

Families from throughout Orange County can expect their kids to come home with dirty hands after a day at one of the Orange County Great Park’s Children’s Gardening Workshops in 2014. The free monthly workshop series at the Great Park’s Farm + Food Lab provides hands-on gardening activities for children ages 3-to-9 from 11am to 1pm.
