Family Staycation at Paradise Point Resort in San Diego
We stayed as a guest of Paradise Point
Paradise is not a plane ride away, and can be found just an hour drive down the coast in San Diego. Over the summer, our family created incredible family memories at the waterfront resort, Paradise Point. While at the resort, we truly felt like we were on a tropical island enjoying water sports, activities, and more.

Lobby
When we first arrived at the resort, we were greeted with refreshing lemon flavored water and accommodating staff members who took us to our bungalow on a luxurious golf cart. After being personally guided to our weekend hideaway, we were given the key to paradise.

Living room
The waterfront bungalow featured enough room for our growing family of five to have a relaxing weekend together in San Diego. It had a large bedroom, family room, two bathrooms, kitchenette and dining area. With the use of the pull-out couch and a roll away bed, our family slept comfortably in the bungalow over the weekend.
After getting settled in our room, we explored the resorts private dock where they offer a wide variety of water sports including jet skis, stand-up paddle boards (SUP), and sailboats. Within minutes, my husband and son, had boarded a jet ski to go exploring Mission Bay. While my husband and son went zooming across the sparkling water, I calmly paddled on stand-up paddle boards (SUP) with my two other children.
Our day ended by having smores over the fire at one of the waterfront fire pits. We told the kids fun ghost stories while surrounding the fire together as a family.
The next day our children woke-up early and boarded the water taxi that took us across the harbor to the beach where they spent the day taking surfing lessons with the Paradise Surf Academy by Mission Bay Aquatic Center. The kids were hanging ten on the crashing waves within minutes of their lessons with the experienced instructors.

bike rentals
After an active morning surfing, we spent the afternoon riding bikes around the lush tropical themed resort and playing miniature golf, before returning to our room to get ready for dinner at the on site restaurant, Tidal.
The resort has two casual dining destinations, a morning coffee bar and family-friendly formal dining at Tidal. Our family enjoyed every bite of delicious cuisine prepared at the chef-driven restaurant.
Our night ended with a “dive-in” movie night followed by another beach bonfire while admiring the beautiful twinkling lights glistening on Mission Bay.
Our family had an active and relaxing weekend at Paradise Point Resort. There is something for everyone when coming to the resort, with family memories just waiting to be created around every corner. Reservations are available online at paradisepoint.com
