Peter Pan Soars to New Heights in Finding Neverland

Peter Pan is one of my most favorite childhood stories, so naturally, when I heard that Finding Neverland was going to be coming to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts I couldn’t wait to bring one of my children to see it. I am a major theater geek, and I love that I am raising my youngest son and daughter also to share my love for the arts. The night of the premiere of Finding Neverland, my two kids were both begging me to take them to see the show, and it was hard to choose just one to bring with me.

I flipped a coin, and my youngest son Tyler was the lucky one who got to come with me to see the magical story of how Peter Pan came to life.

The performance was incredible from start to finish. There was the perfect combination of comedy and suppense that kept us captivated throughout the entire show.

My ten year old son couldn’t take his eyes away from the stage during the performance. I loved looking over at him and seeing him entranced by the magic that was happening right before our eyes.

Once the show was over, he couldn’t stop talking about every little detail of the performance. He was asking me so many questions and he truly felt like he had just come back from visiting Neverland during the short hours we spent sitting in the comfortable red chairs within the Segerstrom Center.

The next morning, when I walked him into school, I was excited to see him talking with his friends about Finding Neverland that he had seen the night before. He was talking about the performance, and even acted out some of his favorite scenes from the play, and he made all of his friends eager to see it too.

Finding Neverland had the perfect combination of talented actors, beautifully detailed costumes, and the perfect dash of magic to bring the story to life for children seeing the show in Orange County.

The Segerstrom Center for the Arts is the perfect place to introduce your children to theatre and for them to fall in love with the arts just as much as my children have. I highly recommend bringing your children to see Finding Neverland, and I guarantee that they will be begging you to return to the Segerstrom Center to see more performances.

Finding Neverland will be at the Segerstrom Center until April 2nd. The performance is two hours and twenty six minutes. I recommend it for children and adults of all ages. Tickets are available online.
