The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel Eco-adventure Center

One of the biggest things that drew us to want to plan a staycation this winter at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel is the on-site Eco-adventure Center. At this center, families can learn about the environment surrounding the resort through tours, activities and educational walks.

The resort offers two complimentary excursions daily for guests staying at the resort.

The garden at the resort

There is the garden tour that is offered daily from 9am to 10am. While, on the tour, guests will visit the resorts garden where the executive chef hand-picks fruits, vegetables and herbs. The guide will also educate families on the benefits of sustainable gardening practices encouraging families to start their own backyard garden at home.

Connect the dots tour

The other complimentary tour is the Connect the Dots excursion. My children loved this tour as their learned about environmental practices and how they impact Mother Earth while playing on a life-sized game board. The kids wanted to play the game multiple times and enjoyed learning about how they can make a different by making good environmental decisions. This tour is offered daily from 4pm to 5pm.

Story time inside of the eco-adventure center

There are multiple excursions happening daily. Some of our favorite tours are the Creative Kitchen where children can pick produce from the garden, and then make their own meal with the ingredients. Another fun tour is Flash!Snap!Crop! where children can make their own video about environmental issues and then take their production home to share with their friends and family.

Sustainable meals available inside of the eco-adventure center for families who get hungry on the tours

Families will expand on their staycation travel experience with this program while learning through unique experiences. Families will walk away educated, inspired and motivated to live a more sustainable lifestyle back at home.

Reservations for the various excursions can be made upon check-in at the resort, by phone at 949-240-5072 or online at
