Roadside Attraction: Fork in the Road

We visited as a guest of the venue

Whenever I am visiting a new area, I am always on the hunt for a fun and funky roadside attraction. With Pasadena being a city rich with historical history, I knew that I would find something fun to discover with my kids.

While driving around the city in our Kia Sorento, my younger son spotted a giant fork in the road. We couldn’t believe our eyes and the kids insisted that I pull the car over to check it out. There was some parking down one of the residential streets and we walked over to look at the cool roadside attraction.

The first thing that I thought of when I saw the giant fork in the road was the scene from the muppet movie which was one of my favorite memories as a child. My younger son couldn’t believe that there was an actual fork in the road and took a couple of selfies with it show his friends when he goes back to school.

Once we were done looking at the fork in the road, my daughter wanted to find out why it was there and did a little searching on the internet. She discovered that two local business owners decided to honor their city with a massive kitchen utensil that doubles as a clever visual gag.

I then looked up the song on spotify from the scene in the muppet movie where fuzzy and kermit see the giant fork in the road and we sang along to the song as it played over the speakers in our Kia as we made our way to the next stop along our road trip.

When visiting Pasadena with your family, a quick stop to see the giant fork in the road is a must. It will just take a few minutes out of your weekend getaway, and your kids are guaranteed to get a kick out of it. The Pasadena fork in the road is located at S St John Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105.
