Robert A. Iger Pays Tribute to Diane Disney Miller at Disney ‘Frozen’ World Premiere

“Today was a trying day for the Walt Disney Company because we lost one of our own, truly one of our own with the passing of Diane Disney Miller” Robert A. Iger, President and CEO of The Walt Disney Company.

Before the opening of the World Premiere of the Disney Film, “Frozen,” Robert A. Iger, came onto the stage, to pay tribute to the passing of one of Walt Disney’s two daughters, Diane Disney Miller.

“Diane and her sister Sharon were the inspiration for their Dad to build Disneyland to create a safe, clean happy place for families, grandparents, parents and children alike to enjoy. She was a woman who had a great heart and spirit. She worked tirelessly to protect and preserve the legacy of her Dad, Walt Disney. We are thinking of Diane tonight,” said Iger.

Right before the film began, he ended with saying, “Walt was once asked who he makes films for and he said, ‘I make films for the child in all of us.’ So when you watch ‘Frozen’ think about how the child in all of us loved Walt Disney’s child, Diane Disney Miller.”
