San Diego Skeleton House

We visited San Diego as a guest of Kia

Whenever I visit a city, I’m always on the hunt to find a new funky and quirky spot to visit. When on a recent trip to San Diego to experience Kia’s ecoDynamics technology, I made plans to visit the San Diego skeleton house for the first time.

I did some research to try and find the location, and I didn’t find very much published about the house. I was lucky to find the name of the street in one of my favorite road trip apps, so I added a stop to my travel itinerary.

Along with my friend, we drove a hip 2017 Kia Soul EV to find the skeleton house. When we started to drive down the street in search of the house, it’s didn’t take long to spot the skeleton house. When I first saw the house, I started to geek out. The owner of the house has skeletons on the roof, hanging from the side of the house, and even a skeleton swinging on the porch – so rad!

The owner of the house went all out to make the house worthy of a road trip stop to witness. My friend and I spent about 5-10 minutes looking at the art exhibit before continuing with our road trip around San Diego.

The Skeleton House will be a hit with your children. They will love seeing a skeleton riding a tricycle on the roof, a skeleton dog, and the surfing skeleton. The big question is – are the skeletons real? We might never know.

The San Diego Skeleton House is located on Arizona Street (the zipcode is 92104 for GPS purposes). When visiting the house with your family, I recommend admiring it from the sidewalk to respect the owner’s privacy. Have fun visiting this funky roadside attraction the next time you visit San Diego.
