Seafood and Ocean Breezes at Bismarkcito in La Paz
We dined as a guest of La Paz
Just a few minutes after our Volaris plane landed in La Paz from Tijuana, we took a short drive to the popular local dining destination, Bismarkcito. The owner of the restaurant started many years ago with a small fish taco stand along the Malecon, and over the years have grown to have one of the most popular family restaurants in La Paz.
The restaurant features a large indoor circular bar where locals and tourists are often found sharing a cocktail together while basking in the cool ocean breezes. There is both indoor and patio seating, that both offer guests panoramic views of the crystalline waters.
We were fortunate enough to get a table on the outdoor patio and sipped on a refreshing margarita while celebrating our arrival to the beautiful city of La Paz.
The servers were some of the most attentive servers that we had the joy of meeting while in La Paz. Our server at Bismarkcito took his time to ensure that our every need was met with great kindness and smiles.
The best part of Bismarkcito was, of course, the cuisine. Our meal began with house-made chips, salsa, and guacamole. Then our taste buds were tantalized with fresh oysters and ceviche. The appetizers were just a small taste of what was to come when our main course arrived.
Everyone at our table was in awe when our main course arrived. It was one of the largest, freshest, and tempting seafood platters I have ever seen. The platter was piled high with every possible fish we could imagine and was paired with fresh handmade tortillas, salsa, and rice. The flavors of the sea exploded with every bite of the delicious fish tacos.
We took our time relaxing at the restaurant while our stresses of daily life slowly drifted away, and our magical time in La Paz, Mexico began. After lunch, we strolled along the Malecon where we visited the Whale Museum and had ice cream at La Fuente before checking into the Costa Baja Resort and Spa.
Bismarkcito is located right along the Malecon at Paseo Alvaro Obregon, Entre Constitucion e Hidalgo, 23000 La Paz, B.C.S., Mexico. Follow Bismarkcito on Facebook and Twitter #LaPazBCS.
