Shamrock Baked Tortilla Chips
If you’re looking for a kid friendly St. Patrick’s Day , I have just the thing. Not only is this recipe easy, the kids can help every step of the way. My three leprechaun’s and I created Shamrock Baked Spinach Tortilla Chips this afternoon.
The ingredients and tools needed are simple and the kids loved prepping and cooking with little help from me.
You’ll need spinach tortillas or wraps, cooking spray, salt to taste, and shamrock cookie cutter(s) and your favorite dip; we used classic humus.
Start by preheating your oven to 375*.
Place one tortilla on the counter, and press firmly down on the shamrock cookie cutter moving side to side to ensure the cutter pierces all the way through. If the edges are resistant, use cooking scissors to trim.
Place each shamrock on a cookie sheet. Using cooking spray, coat one side of the cut-out and sprinkle with salt. This is where I had to assist my 5-year-old leprechaun, she went a little heavy on the salt, so beware of over seasoning when cooking with smaller children.
Bake shamrocks for 7 – 10 minutes depending on how crispy you want your chips, we baked ours for 10 minutes. Once baked, let cool for 5 minutes and serve your hungry leprechaun’s these tasty treats with a cup of tea and your favorite dip!
Bon Appetite.
