Sixth Annual Monarch Butterfly Day


Do your kids love butterflies? Then we have found the perfect event for them. OC Parks is hosting their Sixth Annual Monarch Butterfly Day at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley on Saturday, February 7th. Your children will have an opportunity to get up-close with the majestic monarch butterfly in a safe environment.

During the event, children are invited to plant native plants to help attract butterflies. After participating in the planting activity your children can step into the butterfly enclosure to learn and internet with the beautiful specimens. Additional activities will include crafts, face painting and guided nature walks.


  • The event will take place in the butterfly garden at the park’s Campy Sycamore (near parking lot E).
  • The event is recommended for ages 4 to 12. Bringing a camera is recommended.
