Snow Play and Tubing in Big Bear

It was our first time visiting Big Bear, and one thing that I could not wait to do was some snow play and tubing. I had no idea what to expect when first riding the covered lift to the top of the mountain, but the minute that I got into that giant tube, and headed down the hill, I had the time of my life.

There were three giant hills, and each of the hills, had a different speed. We went down all connected as a family, with a kiddo on my lap, and lots of times alone. What I thought would just be a short hour experience, we ended up spending over four hours riding the tubes.

It was one of the most unforgettable memories of our weekend trip to Big Bear, and we cannot wait to return for some more tubing fun. After the kids were done tubing down the hills, they offer a nice heated lounge for families to take a break. Inside the lounge are video games, clean bathrooms, and a decent size snack bar.

Big Bear snow play is located at 42825 Big Bear Blvd. in Big Bear Lake. They are open daily from 10am to 4pm, and the cost is $25 per person. (Children ages 2-6 years are complimentary with a paying adult).

Tips: They will not allow food or water inside of the gates, however, there are picnic benches right outside of the gates. I recommend bringing a small cooler with some water to leave outside of the gates for your children to stay hydrated while playing. The staff will allow families to come in and out of the gates throughout the day with a paid ticket. Also, bring warm clothes (snow boots) and mittens!
