Spooktacular Family Fun at Knott’s Spooky Farm
We visited as a guest of Knott’s
From late September to late December, my family weekends are jam-packed with fun. From fall workshops to pumpkin patches to family portraits, Thanksgiving, gingerbread baking, Santa, Christmas, and ending with New Year’s, we are booked.
I love this time of year, and I try my hardest to pack everything in. My kids are growing out of the pumpkin patch rides and fun, but they still love our yearly tradition of picking pumpkins and decorating them.
This year we decided to change things up and headed to Knott’s Spooky Farm for some Halloween fun. Yes, you read it right, Spooky Farm, not Scary Farm. So what is Spooky farm? Knott’s Spooky Farm is a family-friendly Halloween celebration geared for kids ages 3-11.
You and your family can celebrate with Snoopy and the gang the spooky season as the park is transformed with themed décor and wicked fun around every corner. You can trick or treat in Ghost Town, watch the Monsters are Coming show at Camp Snoopy. Plus, take pictures in front of the great pumpkin, visit with the Peanuts Gang, decorate pumpkins, be part of the Peanuts costume contest, and enjoy Halloween themed treats such as Peaches and Screams funnel cake!
Treat bags containing event maps and other goodies will be distributed to children age 3 to 11 from opening until 4:30 pm with general admission.
I love themed costumes, so this year I decided that we would dress like our beloved Peanut characters, and you can too. All you need are shirts, scissors, and sharpies to create your own DIY costume.
I went to Michaels and purchased an oversized yellow shirt for Charlie Brown, a Blue for Lucy, and red for Linus. Next, I copied the designs of the shirts and ta-da we had costumes all under $10. It’s super easy to make, and we had a lot of fun dressing the parts.
