Spooktacular Halloween Memories at Disneyland

We visited as a guest of Disney

Halloween Time is my favorite time of the year to visit the Disneyland Resort. The magical place is adorned with fall colors, pumpkins, and decorations. All of our favorite Disney characters dress-up for the occasion in their different costumes and fall-colored clothing. It is the most wonderful time of the year to bring your family to create spooktacular memories together at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Halloween Time is better than ever this year with fantastic entertainment, decadent treats, and must-have merchandise. We celebrated the Halloween season with our kids this year by bringing them to Mickey’s Halloween Party. Ever year, our family dresses up in a family themed costume set, and this year we attended the event themed after the Disney movie “Alice in Wonderland.”

This year is extra important for families to celebrate Halloween at the Disneyland Resort because it is the start of the final countdown to the final check-out at the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The ride will close forever on January 2, 2017, and then will re-open as an all-new attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT. The Silver Lake Sisters have come to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to perform in the lobby of the hotel until October 31st, and guests riding the attraction at night are in for a frightfully fun surprise as the ride will operate in complete darkness!

The two other attractions that will give your family a ghostly experience are the Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Jack Skellington has transformed the Haunted Mansion, and his friend Sally joins in on the fun this year. Pay close attention to the gingerbread house to see if you can spot the ghoulish architect who accidentally stitched himself into the house. If your family is looking for more ghostly fun, you’ll have the thrill of your life zooming through Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.

Mickey’s Halloween Party is bigger and better this year with trick-or-treating, character photo opportunities and the premiere of the “Frightfully Fun Parade.” The parade starts with an appearance from The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow followed by an interactive procession of everyone’s favorite Disney Villains.

Following the parade, the night sky lights up with the “Halloween Screams” fireworks. Your family will be immersed in the magic of Disney while watching the fireworks twinkle in the sky above Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

Hurry…tickets are almost sold out for Mickey’s Halloween Party.
