Spooky Family Fun at Knott’s Spooky Farm

We visited as a guest of Knott’s

It might be quite scary in the evening at Knott’s for Knott’s Scary Farm, but it is all family fun in the daytime during Knott’s Spooky Farm. Visiting Knott’s Spooky Farm has been a yearly tradition that our family has enjoyed since our kids were toddlers. I can still remember the time when my youngest was still in diapers trick-or-treating around Camp Snoopy, and now he is all grown-up.

Our kids kept asking when we were going to Knott’s Spooky Farm, and we surprised them with a day at the theme park over the weekend. It was an incredibly hot day to visit Knott’s, so we didn’t have the kids come in their costumes to trick-or-treat like we have in the past.

Our day started in Camp Snoopy where I watched the kids have fun on their favorite rides. Our kids flew high in the sky on the Balloon Race, soared over Camp Snoopy on the Linus Launcher, and squealed with delight on the Timberline Twister. It was not just the rides that our kids enjoyed while spending time in Camp Snoopy, but also the entertainment. We got into the Halloween spirit while watching “The Monsters Are Coming, Charlie Brown” stage show followed by an adorable costume parade. Before leaving Camp Snoopy, our kids ran through the Spooky Hollow Maze.

Then it was time to see the Dia de los Muertos display in Fiesta Village. Every year, the Dia de los Muertos display at Knott’s gets better and better. There are non-scary sculptures surrounded by beautiful decorations. It is something not to miss when bringing your family to Knott’s Spooky Farm.

Our kids continued to trick-or-treat throughout the park while stopping to ride their favorite thrill rides. After having a transplant surgery this summer, my thrill-seeking husband was unable to go on amusement park rides until a couple of weeks ago. He was all smiles as he went on Supreme Scream, Silver Bullet, Xcelerator, and more.

While visiting Knott’s Spooky Farm, we tried the “All Day Dining” plan for the first time. It was a great value for our large family and allowed us one entree and one side dish at selected restaurants every 90 minutes (drinks not included). At the select restaurants, there was a pre fixe menu that we could choose from, and I loved that it included healthy options like salads too. The price is just $31.99 (plus tax), and they also have an “All Season Dining” plan available for season pass holders.

Knott’s Spooky Farm is happening at Knott’s on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm until Halloween. It is a great family-friendly event that your children will remember forever.

It is also an excellent time to get a Knott’s Season Pass. Our family has been season pass holders for many years, and we always enjoy using it throughout the year when we have a weekend with no events. If you purchase it before the end of the year, it includes one admission in 2016 and unlimited admission in 2017 with no blackout dates!
