Spring and Easter Events Happening in Orange County


Spring is officially here, and so are all the fun Easter events happening in Orange County this year. There are egg hunts happening all around the OC including a fun flashlight egg hunt, train rides with the Easter bunny, and more. Start planning your April calendar with these fun family events happening this Spring.


Disneyland Springtime Round-up

The fun will begin on March 28th in Frontierland in the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree. All of your kids beloved Disney characters and Mr. Easter Bunny will be there to celebrate the sweets smells of Spring with your kids. There will be music throughout the day where children can do the “bunny hop” with the lively country band. The fun does not stop there! Children can participate in egg decorating, crafts and eat delicious treats. The fun starts on March 28th and continues until April 20th at Disneyland Park.

Spring Break Cooking Camp 101

Whether your child is an beginner chef or ready to take it to the next level, enroll your kiddo for a fun filled week of exploring foods with a healthy spin. The camp is from April 14th through the 17th from 11am to 1pm. The cost is $125 (plus $40 for materials). Registration is currently available online.


Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

Ready for your first egg hunt at night? Bring your flashlight for an eggciting night of fun at the Laguna Hills Community Center on Friday, April 11th from 7:30am to 9pm. There will be two separate hunts, one for 7-10 year-olds, and one for 11-14 year-olds. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and registration closed on 4/11 at 4pm. Hurry – space is limited!!

The Laguna Hills Community Center is hosting a fun Easter event for younger children on April 12th from 10am to 11am. There will be crafts, photo opportunities, an egg hunt, and more. The event is open to children under the age of six years. The cost is $6 for residents, and $11 for non-residents.

Bring your children out for a day of fitness fun for the Rabbit Run 5K on Saturday, April 19th at 9am. Adults are $30, children (under the age of 12) $20, and $15 for each additional child. The price will increase on the race day by $2. Registration is currently available online.


City of Aliso Viejo Spring Celebration

Come be a part of the “Egg-citement” this spring at Buena Park’s very special Spring Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 19th! Activities include stage entertainment, children’s crafts, field games, a petting zoo, moonbounces, visits with the Spring Bunny, and of course, the candy scramble for children 12 years of age and younger.

On Saturday, April 19th from 12pm to 2:30pm your family is invited to this free event. Bring your kids Easter baskets for the egg hunt at 12pm. Passports will be given to the first 200 children to receive one candy-filled egg per business. The Easter Bunny will be available for photo opportunities, so bring your camera! There will be a petting zoo, cooking decorating, face painting, and the rock band Blind Innocence will perform from 12:30 to 1:30pm.

Annual Easter Hunt and Family Fun Day

The annual Easter Hunt and Family Fun Day returns to the Huntington Beach Sports Complex. Bring the whole family for live music, games, vendors, photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting and the popular Easter Hunt. Children ages 0-12 years old are invited to hunt for candy and meet the city’s police and firemen. On Apr 19th from 9AM – 2 PM.

Smart Art: Egg-xtravagant Eggs – Easter eggs are a symbol of the season. Visit Pretend City to decorate your very own egg utilizing a variety of colorful mediums and materials.

Science for the Senses: Carrot Crunch – How do you like to eat your carrots? Steamed, raw, mashed? Join us for a taste testing of the Easter Bunny’s favorite treat to see which you like the best.

Be the first through the doors to participate in an engaging Easter Egg Hunt! General admission hours begin at 10:00a.m. The Easter Egg Hunt is on a first-come, first-served basis.


Simon Mall Easter Events

Brea Mall: Kidgits Easter Spring Time Fun event on April 12 at noon at the Bunny Photo set, located on the lower level near the JCPenney wing. Kids can participate in various spring and Easter-themed craft-making activities and games.

Westminster Mall: Kidgits Eggcellent Easter Extravaganza event on April 12, 2014 from 10 a.m. to noon in Target Court. Kids can participate in various activities and games including a bounce house and crafts provided by Westminster Mall retailers.

The Shops at Mission Viejo: Kidgits Easter Eggsrtavaganza event on Saturday, April 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the lower level, near Forever 21. Kids can participate in various activities and games including crafts courtesy of the retailers of The Shops at Mission Viejo, entertainment from The Best Bubble Parties and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. The Bubble show starts at approximately 8:45 a.m. and the Easter Bunny will visit with children around 9:30 a.m.


Los Cerritos Easter Bunny Garden Party

The Easter season kicks off at Los Cerritos Center on Saturday, March 29 with the annual Easter Bunny Garden Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Easter Bunny will host the garden event and lead children in a special Easter themed flowery craft. Bunny snacks will be provided courtesy of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers. All children who attend the event will receive a Buy One Get One Free 5 X 7” photo with the Easter Bunny. The event will take place in the Easter Garden located in front of Forever 21 and is free and recommended for children ages 3-12.

While this event is not in Orange County, it is one of our favorite events for the season. On April 12th and 13th from 11am to 4pm your children can ride a train with the Easter Bunny. Tickets are $5 for children ages 2-4, $8 ages 5-11, and $12 for children 12+. Tickets can be purchased online at
