Spruce Street Suspension Bridge in San Diego
After exploring the historical Quince Street Bridge in San Diego, the kids were in for a big treat when we arrived at the Spruce Street Suspension Bridge. The bridge was a little hard to find in a residential neighborhood at first, but was well worth the search.

These are massive in real life
We parked our car and walked over to the suspension bridge that was built in 1912. The 375-foot steel bridge would bounce and sway while we walked across it (It was a little frightening for me at first). Once we were 1/2 way across the bridge, we got to see amazing views of San Diego, and my boys loved jumping up and down as they walked across it.
The bridge is located in Banker’s Hill at the corner of 1st Avenue and Spruce Street. The bridge is a true hidden treasure of San Diego that many families will enjoy seeing while traveling to the San Diego area. Don’t miss taking your family to the Spruce Street Suspension Bridge in San Diego.
Beautiful canyon view from the middle of the bridge..
