Step into a Musical Jungle with Lion King

We attended as a guest of the SCFTA

Lion King the Musical at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts

The world’s most beloved musical, The Lion King, has transformed the Segerstrom Center for the Arts into a musical jungle. We attended a performance last week and were swept into an immersive, magical world. The music, the costumes, and the emotion made the performance one of the best that I’ve ever experienced.

We began our evening with dinner next door at Leatherby’s Café Rouge where were savored the amazing flavors of the limited-time Lion King dishes. They are offering an incredible three course Lion King menu for $45 per person that will take your family on an unforgettable epicurean adventure into the jungle.

The captivating performance is perfect for younger children, and will make for an unforgettable first-time theatre experience. The performance began with animals walking through the audience before coming together on the stage to sing “The Circle of Life.” My sons immediate response was “Woah” as his captivated eyes looked around the theatre in awe.

Throughout the show we were amazed by the lighting and the talented actors that brought our favorite story to life right before our eyes. It wasn’t just the lighting, costumes and music but also the humor that my son loved. Just like in the movie, Pumbaa and Timon had my son doubled over laughing with all of their hysterical jokes.
