Storm Boy Movie Teen Review

Since it is finally Spring, I have been wanting to find new movies to watch on my downtime. My mom introduced me to the movie Storm Boy, one movie in which I hadn’t heard of yet. My mom and I watched the trailer and immediately fell in love with the film. We planned to watch it that night, and since we both loved it so much, I decided to write a review.

Storm Boy Movie

The movie is unlike anything I have ever seen before, and it quickly became one of my favorite movies that I have seen this year. It is a heartwarming story about a boy who becomes best friends with pelicans after growing up at the beach for so long.

The film was extremely well made and I admired the cinematography the entire time. My mom loved that it had pelicans in it. Since we live so close to the ocean, we see those birds all of the time. It had us looking at pelicans through a new lens as we saw what kind of animals they truly were.

Another thing that was phenomenal about the movie was the awareness it brings to nature and how we must protect it. There were many scenes where there was nature going bad. It introduces a new world of beautiful beaches and explains why we must protect them.

Storm boy is an Australian based film. It is also based off of a book with the same name written by Colin Thiele in 1964. If you really enjoy the movie (like me), then I would definitely try and find the book.

Storm Boy is will be in theaters on April 5th, 2019. You are not going to want to miss this fantastic story about a boy and his three animal friends. This movie will give you an unexpected adventure this springtime. Expand on experiencing this movie with your children by enjoying these interactive activities.
