Sweeping Ocean Views and Delicious Cuisine at Las Brisas

We dined as Las Brisas as a guest of the venue

In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Las Brisas has unveiled an entirely refreshed culinary experience. Not only has the restaurant gone through some uplifting changes to their décor, but so has their menu.

Las Brisas

Michael Gaines, the new executive general manager, is collaborating with the Las Brisas team and has brought his vision of vibrancies to life.

The minute that I walked into Las Brisas, I felt like I was transported to paradise. The restaurant features a bright, fresh, and calming surrounding on a cliff that overlooks the ocean.

The changes in the décor are also reflected in the menu. Fresh ocean to table dishes, along with some of their most popular eats from the past makes your dining experience just that dining experience, add a little cocktail and a beautiful sunset, what more do you need?

Ribs at Las Brisas

While at Las Brisas, we savored their BBQ Pork Spareribs glazed in an agave-chipotle bbq sauce giving your taste buds the right amount of kick. I am a sucker for a good ceviche, and Las Brisas did not disappoint with their White Shrimp and Crab Ceviche. Chilled shrimp and crab surrounded by aguachile verde, pickled red onion, and avocado oh my goodness my mouth is watering thinking about it, you could share it, but I prefer having all for myself.

Plus, their oysters taste like they had just been pulled from the ocean right before being served at our table. Another highlight of the menu is the Yellowtail Sashimi made with crispy shallots, cilantro, a touch of lime, and olive oil – oh my!

Then there is the Contramar Fish for Two, and Seared Sea Scallops sautéed with cauliflower purée, tomatillo, and green olives. Warning about the Contramar, the chef purchases a limited amount of the fish daily, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. This popular dish will have you lining up early to make sure you get your bite.

Finally, you’ll not want to leave without sinking your tastebuds into dessert. The chocolate cake was one of our favorites during the meal, and you can’t ever go wrong with a fresh piece of flan.
