Sweet 4th of July Graham Cracker Ice Cream Sandwiches

This post is sponsored by Dreyer’s/EDY’S® Frozen Custard and SocialMoms. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.

As a child, my favorite 4th of July memories were eating ice cream sandwiches on the curb of the street while watching our local 4th of July parade. Now that I have children, my favorite thing to serve them on the 4th of July are ice cream sandwiches. Over the years, I have gotten a little creative on how to make ice cream sandwiches, and my kids all-time favorite way to eat ice cream sandwiches is with their favorite flavor of Dreyer’s/EDY’S® ice cream in-between two pieces of graham crackers and covered in sprinkles.

4th of July Graham Cracker Ice Cream Sandwiches

This year, America’s beloved all-American treat, Dreyer’s/EDY’S® has introduced Frozen Custard, and we couldn’t wait to try making our favorite ice cream sandwiches with the new product. The result was the kids felt like they were eating “gelato” ice cream sandwiches, and that they were creamier, thicker and richer than before. Watching my kids lick the dripping frozen custard off their ice cream sandwiches on this warm summer afternoon brought back many special memories from my childhood.

  1. I may not be the originator of the recipe but I love the flag sheet cake made with strawberries and blueberries.

  2. We eat barbecue like most families, so there isn’t much room for improvement to make an original recipe. We also serve potato and macaroni salad, which would give the opportunity to make them more festive. WE could make a fruit salad with raspberries and blueberries to give it the red white and blue look.

  3. I would set up an ice cream bar with all the healthy toppings like nuts and fruit!
