Tacos El Norteño in Rosarito Mexico

The minute that we arrived in Rosarito for a girls getaway, the first thing that we all wanted was tacos. We checked into the Rosarito Beach Hotel, and the staff at the front desk recommended that we try Tacos El Norteño.

The taco shop was just a short walk from the hotel, and the minute that we arrived, I could smell the al pastor cooking on the trompo. As the mean was spinning, the juices were dripping down the giant piece of seasoned pork. I was immediately in taco heaven.

We went to the front desk to place our order, and I wanted to get a taste of everything. I decided to order an al pastor taco, an asada taco and a mulita (similar to a quesadilla). The meal was extremely affordable with the tacos being priced at just $1.25 each!

I watched them as they cut my asada fresh, made the tortillas from scratch, and prepared a lunch that would leave me craving more for weeks to come. I paired my lunch with Pacifico, found a seat in the restaurant, and got ready to embark on an unforgettable epicurean adventure.

The tacos were pure heaven. They were so good that I found myself going back to the counter to order more. The mulita was huge. It was big enough for two or even three people to share. Inside of the warm tortilla was melted cheese, asada, guacamole, cilantro, and onions.

The restaurant has a very casual ambiance that is perfect for families to get a quick bite to eat while in the area. Once we were done having lunch, we walked next door to get dessert at Panificadora Rosarito Bakery.

When bringing your family to Rosarito, don’t miss getting lunch or some late-night tacos at El Norteño. It is guaranteed to be one of your favorite meals when visiting the area. (The restaurant only takes cash or pesos)
