Take Charge of Your Kids Health with Moms in Charge

Sometimes it takes having a health crisis to realize that your family needs to make changes. That is what happened to Dotty Hagmier, the founder of Moms in Charge. What is Moms in Charge? It is a local nonprofit that was created to empower families to live healthy lives.

When Dotty was faced with a health crisis, and found there was no support in our community, she started inviting people to her home for meetings from local specialists. The small groups became a support for her on her journey of creating a healthy lifestyle for her family, and they kept getting bigger. Two years later, Moms in Charge has grown to having monthly meetings at The Montage Resort in Laguna Beach to discuss different topics to help empower parents.

Parents who have been attending the Moms in Charge meetings, have learned that they can be in control of their health, by what they put into their body and on their skin. It is a community of Moms supporting Moms, to make a difference in the lives of their children so that their children can grow-up to know how to live healthy lifestyles too.

Local moms are invited to attend the next Moms in Charge meeting to learn how to help make a difference in their home, and the health of their children. Dotty will have a booth set-up this weekend during the Dana Point Festival of Whales where we encourage you to stop by the booth, and meet Dotty. Learn more about Moms in Charge online at

  1. Dang – if I can look half as good as she does after a health crisis, I want to do what she is doing 🙂

  2. I am fortunate to be a member of Moms in Charge. Each month at the meetings I learn more valuable information that helps me maintain my goal to eat healthy foods. I then share this information with family members.

Dotty Hagmier is a strong, eloquent woman who delivers her empowering message with grace and humor.
