Talking with the Cast of Avengers: Endgame

I attended the Avengers: Endgame Press Conference as a guest of Disney

One of the most awaited for movies this year is Avengers: Endgame and I had the privilege of attending the press conference for it. My brothers and I have been following all of the anticipation since the latest Avengers film “Infinity War” came to the theaters. The press conference for this film was unlike anything I have ever seen before, and I can’t wait to share some of the heartwarming quotes that were spoken during the event.

Interviewing the cast of Avengers Endgame

At the press conference, I got to interview Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Karen Gillian, Danai Gurira, Anthony and Joe Russo, and Kevin Feige. They all spoke amazing words about their characters and their journeys together as one big team.

The Press Conference started with Jon Favreau entering the room and introducing us to the people that we were going to be seeing today. He opened the conference with a heartwarming speech that shared his story of the Marvel Universe. After he made a few jokes and said hi to some friends and the questions began.

Robert Downey Jr talking about Avengers Endgame

The first question that was asked was a question on many of our minds directed towards Robert Downey Jr. The question was how he came to build such a memorable and complex character? Robert Downey Jr. told us that “There is always two tracks at least in my mind. One is the sky is falling, and the other is the sky is the limit.” With all of the complex characters in the Marvel universe, I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone thought this. Also, this is something that the majority of humans can feel in their everyday life which brings the Marvel characters closer to peoples hearts.

Chris Hemsworth in Avengers Endgame

Since we couldn’t talk much about the events or outcomes of the upcoming films we focused more on what their individual character development was. After talking with Robert Downey Jr., we moved to Chris Hemsworth. The question that was asked to him was what he liked about playing Thor the most and what made it so special to play a beloved character. Hemsworth answered by telling the audience, “look, I think the answer to the question, what made is so special for me was just the different people I was able to work with.”

Bre Larson in Avengers Endgame

After we finished talking to a few more people about their experience as a character in the Marvel Universe we talked with Brie Larson about the timing of her arrival. She told us that she came at “the most magical time” because of the tenth anniversary and she told us that everything “felt like a dream.”

Russo Brothers chatting about the making of Avengers Endgame

After a few more questions and funny comments with the cast, the mic was opened up for audience members. Everyone had their hand up with a question ready to ask, but one that really stood out to me was the question, how they had kept this movie so secretive with all of the feedback and trailers. The Russo Brothers answered this question by telling the audience “We grew up loving the comics. We came to the MCU already fans of the MCU. So like the energy, we move on is our own passion and our own excitement. And that’s how we tell stories. We learned long ago that you have to tell stories for yourself.”

It really inspired me because it showed that they were also fans before they were brought into this universe and are now directors of the entire film. My brothers and I have been fans since day one, and it is really cool to think that even the people making the movie still love the MCU with just as much passion as us.

We closed out the conference with an inspiring question from a little girl who wanted to be a director when she grows up. She asked the Russo Brothers if they had any advice for her and they said just to keep “picking up a camera and shooting.”
