Just like many of you, I grew up watching Star Wars. I would dress up like Princess Leia and immerse myself into the magical world of Star Wars while doing imaginative play with my friends. Star Wars was a big part of my childhood, and when I had children, I knew that I wanted it to be a part of their childhood too.

Once my kids were old enough to start walking, I purchased them their first box set of the Star Wars movies. As they have grown-up, we have spent many nights watching Star Wars together, and I’ll even dress-up for some imaginary play time with them from time to time. Recently, new Star Wars films have begun coming out, and now our children are starting to have a series of Star Wars films that their generation can fall in love with just like our generation did, and pass a love for the brand down to their children.

Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

I first heard about the most recent Star Wars film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story from my boys who got so pumped up after watching the trailer. The minute that they saw the trailer, they came running into my office to tell me all about the new movie. Together with my boys, we followed along with the series of YouTube videos being released on the Star Wars YouTube channel and continued to be more and more excited about the new film.

Then the time came when I found out that I was going to the world premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I couldn’t believe it. I was going to walk the red carpet at the premiere of a film related to a series that was a major part of my childhood – it was surreal.

After watching the film – I was shocked. It was just like one of the original Star Wars films. I felt like I was 10 years old again watching my first Star Wars film in the theater. The only hard part was that I couldn’t tell my boys anything about the film…until now.

I’m not going to share any spoilers. There are plenty of websites where you can find those, but I encourage you not to read the spoilers. You want to experience this film the same way that I did, and be shocked at the same moments in which I did.

Thrilling Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

I do encourage everyone to bring their entire families to see the movie in theaters on Friday. I have already bought tickets for our family to see it together on Friday night, and I can’t wait to see the reactions on my kids faces as they watch this film.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is one of the best Star Wars films ever made. Families are going to fall in love with it just as much as I did, and it will be a film that will be beloved by generations to come.
