The Luggage Room Pizzeria in Pasadena

We dined as a guest of the venue

While on our Pasadena staycation, we got a little taste of history while dining at The Luggage Room Pizzeria. The restaurant is located in the 1934 luggage room of the Del Mar Train Station and is a great place for families to enjoy a delicious meal together.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by the nicest staff who helped show us to a table for the evening. The restaurant is intimate, has a large bar in the center, and an open-air kitchen where guests can see pizzas being made in the wood-burning oven.

After we got our drinks, we ordered some appetizers to start our meal. It is rare to see deviled eggs on a menu so I couldn’t resist giving them a try. The eggs burst with flavor and my kids savored every bite, barely leaving a small bite behind for my husband and me. Along with the eggs, our family shared a shredded kale and quinoa salad. The salad is a must when dining at The Luggage Room and was the perfect prelude to our main course.

The restaurant is known for their famous pizzas, and the only problem we had was deciding which pizzas to order. All of the pizzas on the menu sounded phenomenal, so we ordered four of them to share. When the pizzas arrived, they were larger than we had expected, and we have more than enough food for our entire family to enjoy.

It was the gladiator pizza that caught my husbands attention on the menu. The pizza is a meat lovers dream and featured housemade Italian sausage and salumeria biellese pepperoni. The pizza was flavorful and delicious.

The minute that I noticed an avocado pizza, I knew that was what I wanted to order. The avocado festival was pure heaven and featured Hass avocado, tomatoes, basil and lemon zest. If you love avocados, you’ll fall in love with this pizza.

Since my younger son is a picky eater, I ordered him the Margherita pizza. The pizza featured roasted tomatoes, housemade mozzarella, and basil. It is the perfect pizza to order for your kids and is large enough for two kids to share.

When the server mentioned the farmer’s market pizza, we all wanted to try a bite. The pizza was loaded with lots of fresh vegetables and was the highlight of our meal.

The Luggage Room is guaranteed to be a family favorite when visiting Pasadena. It is located at 260 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105.
