The Royal Palace on the Disney Dream Cruise Line

We attended during the Disney Social Media Moms Conference

After having dinner at the Enchanted Garden Restaurant on the Disney Dream Cruise Line, we couldn’t wait to experience dinner at the highly-acclaimed Royal Palace. Our family was going to attend a pirate party after dinner, so we arrived at the palace in our favorite pirate attire, ready for a delicious dining experience.

My children were the most excited to see our servers again, Sudarmaji and Vinay. They treated my children so wonderfully and would perform magic tricks for them. They even knew what my kids favorite foods were after just one night and made some excellent recommendations for them.

For the appetizers, I started with the iced lobster and jumbo shrimp. The dish was simple, yet flavorful. It was the perfect prelude to my main course. And, while I was enjoying my seafood appetizer, my daughter was in pure cheese bliss with the breaded and deep fried brie with an orange and cranberry chutney. I recommend that every family experiences this unforgettable appetizer.

When it came to the main course, we all ordered something different from the menu. It was the lobster macaroni that caught the attention of my daughter. The pasta dish featured elbow pasta mixed with lobster meat, tarragon, gruyere, and cheddar cheese sauce. The pasta is finished with a dash of a white truffle olive oil.

My son loves lamb, and he savored every bite of the roasted rack of lamb. The lamb was paired to perfection with dauphinoise potatoes, buttered brussels sprouts, and a rosemary sauce. The dish was something that one would expect to find at a Michelin-starred restaurant – it was that delicious.

I was in the mood for a steak that evening, and I enjoyed the chateaubriand roasted filet steak. The steak was paired with crushed new potatoes with shallots, buttered green beans, a red wine jus, and a bearnaise sauce. The steak was cooked to the perfect temperature and seasoned to perfections.

Finally, we ended dinner with some of the most delicious desserts we have ever devoured. We shared the Grand Marnier souffle infused with fresh orange zest and served with creme anglaise, a Tahitian vanilla creme brulee with macaroon, and a strawberry shortcake sundae. It was the perfect ending to our dining experience at The Royal Palace.
