The Star Movie Teen Film Review

We attended the screening as a guest of the studio

Ever since I was a little kid, I have heard the story of the first Christmas and the birth of Jesus. From my beginner’s bible to my pocket bible I have not only read about, but my family has been telling me the story ever since I was a little girl. There has never been an animated film in the animal’s perspective based off of the first Christmas. The fact that it has never been done before just makes me want to see it even more, so I was super excited about this film.

Throughout the entire movie, my brother and I were laughing about the funny ones that some of the animals made and the fact that the animals would try to talk to the humans, but they couldn’t understand them. Even though most of the movie had some jokes, I still felt like I took away something I have never taken away before. To me, The Star movie is a refreshing new take on the story of the first Christmas.

I have seen plenty of Christmas classics including Elf and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” but nothing compared to The Star Movie. Not only is The Star a classic Christmas story, but children from all over the world can take away a new story from this beautiful film.

My favorite character in this movie has to be Dave the Dove because he is the funniest character and is always making light of a rough situation. Throughout the entire film, he was there making me laugh in my seat. All of the animals in The Star have such different and unique personalities that you come to love each of them for their own individual actions and attitudes.

The Star comes out in theaters today. Whether you have read the Bible or not this movie is one Christmas movie you will not want to miss this year. The Star is now permanently on my list for movies to watch during the Holiday Season.
