Three Reasons to Go See Dog Days with Your Family this Summer

We attended a screening as a guest of the studio

Dogs are probably one of my favorite pets/animals so when I began to see the commercials and trailers on TV for the film Dog Days I knew I had to see it. I asked my mom if we could see it when it came out, and she surprised me by telling me that we would get to attend an early screener and then go the press junket and premiere during the following days. I was so excited! There are three reasons in this story that I hope will convince you to watch the adorable movie and love it just as much as I do.

1. The movie is based on the different people of LA and their relationships with their dogs. I love that because there is more than one story in the film. You get to witness multiple stories being told in one movie! There are romance stories that will make you want more, sad stories that will a few teardrops roll down your cheeks and comedic stories that will have you laughing on the edge of your seat the entire time. The balance of the emotions is perfect because something sad will happen, but then the movie will make you laugh right after.

2. This reason is pretty apparent. Dogs! The second reason I love this movie so much is because of all the cute dogs that are characters in the film. All I wanted to do was reach out and pet them when they were on the big screen. If you are a dog lover than this movie was basically made for you. Even if you are a cat person, I’m sure you could still find some part of this movie to love, but for me, it was all about the dogs. This movie also raises a good message about adopting dogs and not shopping for dogs.

3. The third and final reason this film is probably my favorite film of the summer is because of the actors and actresses in the movie. I have to say the dogs were my favorite actors and actresses, but the humans were amazing too. With some of my favorite stars including, Nina Dobrev, Vanessa Hudgens, Finn Wolfhard, and so many more, I was bound to love this movie even before I saw it! The cast did a perfect job at sending a good message about these furry friends while making the audience laugh ( and cry.)

Dog Days in theaters today! This 100% a family friendly (and dog-friendly) movie, so bring the whole family if you can! Summer is coming to an end, so make this summer count by going to see this hilarious film.
