Tips for Taking Children to See How to Train Your Dragon Live

Dragons4

How to Train Your Dragon Live spectacular show has flown into the Honda Center until January 20th. The interactive live action show will have your kids out of their seats cheering with excitement. Last night, we brought our kids to opening night of the performance as sounds, giant dragons and pyrotechnics lit up the sky inside of the arena. The performance will not leave fans of the film, “How to Train Your Dragon” disappointed.

These are tips that we have before bringing your kids to see the performance:

  1. Do you have a child who is sensitive to loud noises? We would recommend bringing noise canceling head phones, so the loud growls of the dragons do not frighten young children sensitive to loud noises. Another option is to reserve higher level seats.
  2. There is a short intermission in-between the two acts for restroom breaks for the kids. Having the kids do a restroom break before the show and at the break will ensure that your kids won’t miss a moment of the exhilarating show.
  3. The show features a large amount of pyrotechnics. We understand that some children cannot be exposed to strobe lights due to some health reasons. Be mindful that there is a lot of different lighting that goes into the show.
  4. The evening performances end about 9:30-10pm. Our kids were in bed after the 7pm show at 11pm. If you have younger children who have trouble staying up late, we highly recommend the day shows on Saturday and Sunday.
  5. Reserve a party suite with a group of other families, so that your children can interact with their close friends while watching the show. The party suites have a small dining area, couch and sink perfect for Mothers and babies.
  6. Pay extra for the preferred parking. The preferred parking is $25, but it allows for quick entrance and exit of the Honda Center.
  7. Bring extra money for souvenirs. Children will not want to miss enjoying the show without the lighted viking helmets or dragon wings.
  8. Ages? We recommend this show for children and adults of all ages. It is truly a spectacular show that your family will never forget.
  9. Seating? There is no bad seats for the this show. The show is designed to give families the same experience from anywhere in the arena.
