Tips for Having the Most Magical Time at Disneyland During Halloween Time

We visited as a guest of Disney

Halloween is one of the most magical times to bring your family to the Disneyland Resort. While we don’t seem to be having fall weather here in Orange County, your family can enjoy a little taste of the season by enjoying comforting foods and admiring the festive decor at Disneyland. One thing that I always encourage parents to do when bringing their kids to the Disneyland Resort is to plan ahead so that they can get the most out of their magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth.

These are some of my tips to help your family with getting the most out of your magical time at the Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time.

Purchase the Disney MaxPass
Visiting the Disneyland Resort has changed forever with the introduction of Disney MaxPass. The cost is $10 per day, per ticket, and worth every penny. Utilizing the Disneyland Resort app families can use Disney MaxPass to request FASTPASS right from a cellular device. It can help your family with planning your day and getting to experience the most amount of attractions during your visit. My favorite feature of Disney MaxPass is the unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads! The Disney PhotoPass photographers are incredibly talented, and the photos always end up being my favorite ones taken during our visits.

Make Dining Reservations in Advance
When planning your upcoming visit, I highly recommend making your dining reservations in advance. Utilize the Disneyland Resort app to see what dining options are available on the day of your visit and make the reservations with a click of the button through the app.

Mobile Ordering
If your family does not want to have a sit-down meal, mobile ordering can help save time waiting in line for food. Utilizing the Disneyland Resort app, your family can purchase food in advance from select food venues located throughout the park and then go right up to the window to pick-up your ordered food without having to wait in line.

Pick-out Your Favorite Treats
One of the best things about visiting the Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time is all the tasty treats. There are so many to choose from, and you can’t eat them all during one visit, so I recommend going to the Disney Parks Blog to see all the Halloween-themed treats available during Halloween Time and pick-out your favorites to taste while visiting.

Be In the Moment
My best advice for families visiting the Disneyland Resort is to ask everyone in your family put their cellphones away and be in the moment together. There have been so many magical moments like watching my little one skipping down Main Street U.S.A. or my teens giggling together while sharing cotton candy that I would have missed if I was on my cell phone. Disneyland is the perfect place for your family to experience a “digital detox” day and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Don’t forget to capture a family photo in front of the giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin at the front of Main Street U.S.A. and then print it out when you get home to display in your home throughout October. Halloween Time is happening at the Disneyland Resort until October 31st.
