There are five places you should not miss when you visit this diverse state.

1. Raymond Vineyards

According to the Eva-Marie Berry blog, California produces 84% of the wine in the United States. This Napa Valley institution has been around since 1970 and is a massive place that spans over 300 acres and produces organic wine.

When you take a tour of their winery, you will get to try some delicious vino and buy some unique jewelry.

2. The Getty Center

Hours: 10:00 am to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday.

The Getty Center is one of Los Angeles’ most popular attractions. Admission is free, and they have exhibits from around the world. The center itself is something to see.

When you enter, you will take a tram to the top of the center, where you will get a beautiful view of the city. You may even see a deer or two. You can visit the art museum that has everything from classic to modern pieces or walk around the central garden and enjoy the beautiful flora of Southern California.

3. Disneyland

No trip to California would be complete without a trip to this magical place. You can take flight with Peter Pan or fall down the rabbit hole with Alice in Wonderland. If you want to see some of the park’s newer features, be sure to look for Star Wars Rise of the Resistance.

Every night ends with a magnificent fireworks display, and you will find food from around the world at this famous park.

4. Laguna Beach

This tiny hamlet in Orange County offers magnificent natural areas, fabulous art galleries, and some of the most opulent real estate you will ever see in your life. The beach features tide pools and magnificent coves. You will find hiking trails with breathtaking views and a mountain trail that leads all the way to nearby Newport Beach.

Some of the most famous artists in the world have galleries here, and some very wealthy people call this town their home. The galleries host art shows all the time, but First Thursdays are an especially good time to walk around town and look at some truly fabulous work.

5. Death Valley National Park

There is no place quite like the California desert. It is s a quiet and restful place to go camping, and you will be amazed at the star-filled skies at night. The desert has a haunting beauty, and hiking can be very challenging. You will see animals here that you will not see anywhere else, and your friends and family will be impressed with the breathtaking photos you take there.
