Turmeric Root and Ginger Tea Recipe
While having lunch at Melissa’s Produce last month, they talked a lot about the healing properties of Turmeric Root. Some have even made claims that it cures cancer!
After visiting Melissa’s Produce, I began doing research. I learned that it does have many healing powers. The one thing that caught my attention was the anti-aging benefits.
Turmeric Root is Available through Melissa’s Produce
Melissa’s Produce was so kind to send me a package of Turmeric Root to experiment with and create recipes. You can purchase it online or find it at a retailer that sells Melissa’s Produce.
My daughter and I made Turmeric Root and Sweet Potato soup, and hummus, we were hooked. It has a sweet, bitter flavor that we loved. We ended up spending the entire day in the kitchen creating recipes with the spice.
The one recipe we created, that was our favorite is the Turmeric Root and Ginger Tea. It is so good that we ended up making six batches of it so that we could enjoy it all week. I love tea. It is the best tea I have ever had!
Next time, we will triple the recipe, and make it in a big stock pot. This time, we made it in multiple batches, and stored it in an old glass milk jar.
