Anaheim: Nutcracker Christmas

December 5, 10:00am – 7:00pm at Downtown Anaheim (Center St. Promenade & Lemon St.), Free

FREE event featuring holiday craft activities, a real snow play area, a children’s train ride, free photos with Santa and holiday musical performances by local schools and community groups throughout the day. Purchase unique gifts from the Holiday Shopping Village and enjoy a wide variety of culinary treasures from the International Food Fair.

The day is capped off with a procession down Center Street Promenade led by the Combined Choirs of the Anaheim Union High School District at 5:45pm. Attendees gather around the living 50-foot Christmas tree, magically lit by a surprise guest and a holiday musical performance.

Anaheim: Santa’s Coming to Anaheim Town Square

Free event with real snow play area, Santa photos, crafts for kids, face painting, balloon artists and train rides.

Anaheim: Snow Wonderland

December 6, 12:00pm – 4:00pm at Anaheim Indoor Marketplace, Free

Come and get into the Christmas Spirit and play in the snow! The Marketplace will have over 25 tons of snow for families to play in. There will be live entertainment, free hot chocolate, crafts, and a bunch of Giveaways.

Brea: Tree Lighting Ceremony

December 3, 6:30pm at the Brea Civic and Cultural Center, Free

Light up the holiday at the City of Brea’s annual tree lighting celebration. Live music and entertainment will put everyone in the holiday mood. Watch the holiday tree light up the evening and see children’s eyes sparkle when Mr. and Mrs. Santa drop in for a visit. Pictures with Santa are available for a fee. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.

Buena Park: Candy Caneland & Craft Faire

December 5, 10:00am – 4:00pm at Ehlers Community Recreation Center, Free

A community holiday carnival that includes food and game booths sponsored by local non-profit groups, entertainment, games, petting zoo, a craft area for kids, pictures with Santa Claus, and their famous snow slides!

Costa Mesa: Holiday Celebrations at SOCO and The OC Mix

December 13, 3:00pm – 6:00pm, Free

Bring your family and friends to enjoy a free family-friendly evening filled with live music, holiday activities, photos with Santa, face painting, and a photo booth.

Cypress: Holiday Sing

Festival Style Seating Blankets & Lawn Chairs Encouraged. Event includes School Performances, Visits with Santa, Cookie Decorating, Letters to Santa and Train Rides.

Fountain Valley: Tree Lighting Ceremony

December 5, 4:30pm – 8:00pm at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center, Free

The event will feature live entertainment, pictures with Santa, games, crafts, food vendors, a firework show, and much more!

Fullerton: The Muckenthaler’s Holiday Festival

December 20, 12:00pm – 4:00pm, Free

The Muckenthaler’s annual Holiday Festival features various activities, including home and gallery tours, performances and an arts & crafts fair. Plus, delicious food vendors and exclusive craft beer selections! The family-friendly event also provides free art workshops for kids, a children’s play area, and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Fullerton: Winter Market

Kick off the Holiday Season at the Winter Market in Downtown Fullerton. Enjoy kids’ activities, free pictures with Santa, holiday entertainment, and a beer and wine garden.

Garden Grove: Atlantis Play Center’s Winterfest

Enter Atlantis Play Center as it is transformed into a winter wonderland filled with crafts, inflatables, carnival games, train rides, music, a visit from Santa and 50 tons of snow for sledding and play!

Garden Grove: Festival of Lights

Activities include photo booth with Santa; vendor pavilion; food trucks; Polar Express Train Rides; Toys for Tots and more.

Huntington Beach: Miracle on Main Street

November 22, 2:00pm – 7:00pm, Free

It’s the most wonderful time of the year when HB Downtown fills the 2nd block of Main Street with entertainment, holiday craft vendors, and refreshments. The event starts on the street with entertainment beginning at 2pm with Tuba Christmas, benefiting the Harvey Phillips Foundation. The stage performers begin at 4pm- with Sunshine Generation, APA’s Surf City Singers, and the world-famous All-American Boys Chorus. Hot cocoa and refreshments also start at 4pm. Santa is scheduled to arrive at 6pm to help light our much-loved Christmas Tree. Santa stays around so boys and girls, young and old, have a chance to tell Santa what they would like for Christmas, and pose for pictures.

Huntington Beach: Swedish Christmas Fair

November 22, 11:00am – 5:00pm at Old World Festival Banquet Hall, $5 Adults, $2 Kids (5-15)

A traditional and authentic Swedish Christmas, complete with a St. Lucia procession brought to you by the SWEA of Orange County. Wonderfully decorated exhibits, food, arts and crafts, traditional music, dancing and activities for children will be available as well as visits from both St. Lucia and the Swedish Santa Claus or “Jultomten.”

Huntington Beach: Huntington Harbour Boat Parade

December 12 – 13, 5:00pm – 10:00pm, Free

It is that time of year when we get excited about the upcoming boat parade, where we have the opportunity to view our traditional favorites, while adding new, unique and exciting entries. ‘Songs from the Silver Screen’ is our theme.

La Habra: City Holiday Tree Lighting

December 7, 6:00pm at La Habra City Hall, Free

The City Holiday Tree Lighting event takes place on the first Monday in December on the City Hall steps and includes instrumental and vocal performances of holiday songs by local choral groups, soloists and bands. The ceremony concludes with the mayor and City Council members throwing the switch that lights the City Hall tree, a large Coast Redwood planted in front of City Hall.

La Habra: Operation Santa

December 19, 9:00am – 12:00pm at La Habra Community Center, Free

This fun event features visits with Santa, carnival games, and inflatables.

La Palma: Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

December 2, 4:30pm – 8:30pm at Central Park Amphitheater, Free

Join your friends and family for this annual holiday favorite. Every year this event brings the La Palma community together to ring in the holiday season! Enjoy the musical talents from our local schools and join in during the Community Carol Sing Along. Take a picture with Santa and his elves in the activities area before the event. This area will feature crafts, an opportunity to write a letter to Santa, and of course, the young and young-at-heart won’t want to miss an early visit from Santa Claus!

Los Alamitos: Winter Wonderland

December 5, 4:00pm – 7:30pm at St. Isidore Historical Plaza, Free

Winter Wonderland at the Plaza will feature an area to play in the snow, activities, Santa’s Village, a tree lighting ceremony, refreshments, and entertainment.

Orange: Tree Lighting Ceremony & Candlelight Choir Processional

December 6, 3:30p at Old Town Plaza Chapman Avenue and Glassell Street, Free

Tree Lighting and Candlelight Procession includes holiday music. Local non-profit groups also provide delicious food and youth activities for a nominal charge. Holiday Festivities begin at 3:30pm. Main Musical Program & Tree Lighting Ceremony begin at 5:15pm.

Placentia: Las Posadas & Tamale Festival

December 9, 4:00pm – 9:00pm in Old Town Placentia in the 100-200 Blocks of Santa Fe Street , Free

The event will feature a procession re-enacting the travels of Mary and Joseph, live entertainment featuring the famous Mariachi Divas, caroling and fresh and delicious tamales for individual and quantity purchase. Children will have an opportunity to visit with Santa Claus, receive a gift and pose for individual pictures.

Seal Beach: Christmas Parade

December 4, 7:00pm – 8:45pm down Main Street from Ocean Avenue to Pacific Coast Highway, Free

The Annual Seal Beach Christmas Parade ushers in the Holidays each year with bands, floats, lots of kids and of course Santa. Our theme this year is “Celebrating 10 Decades of Surf, Sun & Santa” which will surely be seen throughout the more than 100 entries.

Seal Beach: Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

November 28, 3:00pm – 7:00pm at Eisenhower Park, Free

Come join your community as we get in the holiday spirit with the lighting of the tree at Eisenhower Park. Santa arrives at dusk for tree lighting and pictures. There will be real snow, bounce houses, and holiday movies.

Stanton: Christmas Tree Lighting

December 3, 5:30pm – 7:00pm at Stanton Civic Center, Free

Join your family and friends for this wonderful Christmas event! This event brings the Stanton community together to ring in the holiday season! Enjoy the musical talents of the Rancho Alamitos High School Choir and the lighting of the Civic Center Christmas tree. Of course the young-at-heart will not want to miss an early visit from Santa Claus! This special evening will conclude with tasty refreshments and an opportunity to meet your friends and neighbors.

Tustin: Tree Lighting Ceremony

December 4, 6:00pm – 7:30pm, at Tustin Library Courtyard, Free

The City of Tustin Parks and Recreation Department invites you to join in the holiday fun as they celebrate their Annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony. The evening will include a special reading of “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and performances by Community Groups.

Villa Park: Dry Land Boat Parade

December 13, 5:00pm – 6:30pm at Villa Park High School to the Villa Park Towne Centre, Free

Create some lifetime memories for your family by entering a decorated boat – defined as anything that can be twoed or driven at a speed of up to five miles an hour. The celebration will continue with a tree lighting ceremony, great music, and food.

Westminster: Tree Lighting Ceremony

December 7, 6:00pm – 7:30pm at Civic Center Sunken Gardens, Free

We will light the tree, sing carols, restock the “food closets” for the needy, and of course…be visited by Santa Claus himself. Please join the City in this joyful holiday event.

Yorba Linda: Handel’s Messiah Community Sing-along at the Richard Nixon Library

November 29, Seatings at 1:00pm and 3:30pm, Free ($5 donation suggested)

Join us for the twelfth annual Handel’s Messiah sing long at the Richard Nixon Library in the east room. Each year, orchestra and singers from all over southern California, led by conductor Glenn Wanke, come together to perform some of the favorite choruses from this oratorio. Audience members may bring their own scores and sing along. (we use the G. Schirmer, and also have a limited number for singers to borrow.) Non singers are welcome to just enjoy!
