Urgent Need: OC Rescue Mission in Need of Hygiene Items

Orange County Rescue Mission has recently announced an urgent need for hygiene items for its 155 residents living at the Rescue Mission’s transitional living facilities for homelessness in Orange County. The organization is seeking help from the local community to provide basic hygiene items for the homeless men, women and children living at the facility.

Hygiene Items at OC Rescue Mission

These donations are more important now than ever before, as donations at the Rescue Mission have fallen significantly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Jim Palmer, President of Orange County Rescue Mission.

“The pandemic continues to affect the local community, which has ultimately led to an increase in homelessness,” says Palmer. “With the influx of homeless individuals and a drop in donations, we are currently experiencing a lack of basic hygiene necessities for the homeless men, women and children at Village of Hope. We are urgently asking for donations of these items, so we are able to provide basic hygiene needs to these homeless individuals.”

If in a position to donate, Orange County Rescue Mission is requesting the following items:

· Soap bars
· Shampoo bottles
· Underwear for kids (all sizes)
· Underwear for women (all sizes)
· Toothpaste tubes
· Shaving cream
· Feminine hygiene products
· Laundry detergent
· Toilet paper rolls

Anyone wishing to donate any of the items listed above may drop off donations at Orange County Rescue Mission’s Village of Hope located at 1 Hope Drive, Tustin, California, 92782. Donations can also be purchased online and delivered to this address. For more information, please visit:

The donation warehouse is open between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
