Volunteers Building Playground for Children in Anaheim

Anaheim Playground

More than 200 volunteers from the local community will join together on Monday, March 4 to build a new playground in less than eight hours at Schweitzer Park. The new playground’s design is based on drawings by children who participated in a Design Day event in January.

Disney is committed to the health and well-being of kids and families, and supports KaBOOM! in its vision of a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America. The existing playground equipment at Schweitzer Park is outdated and in need of replacement. The new playground will provide thousands of children from Anaheim with a safe place to play.

Since 1996, KaBOOM! has used its innovative community-build model to bring together community interests and business to construct more than 2,200 new places to play across North America. The new playground at Schweitzer Park is one of dozens made possible with support from Disney to inspire kids to lead healthier lifestyles.

The new playground will open on March 4th at Schweitzer Park, 238 S. Bel Air Street in Anaheim.
